Bands 2023
The Blast
The Blast are a five piece classic rock band formed in 1991. Since then they have been rocking in pubs, parties & festivals all over the country. They have made two albums of original material which have had several radio plays, but now concentrate on rock covers. Guitarist magazine reviewed their second album “Nothing succeeds like good times bar-room rock’n’ roll, & this motley crew, fronted by the vocal reincarnation of Bon Scott, sound like they’re drenched in beer, clutching a half-empty fag packet with the phone number of the girlfriend of the local Hell’s Angels principal on the back. From the opener “The Shock” the lads (probably) sling their Teles lowdown & dirty”

American Eric and Friends
American Eric originally from California has been performing for longer than he cares to remember in the USA, Sweden, France and lucky for us in the UK over the past twenty years. His wide ranging catalogue spans from the Stones, Beatles, CCR, Van Morrison to Bob Marley, Johnny Cash and Cab Calloway. Pick a song and the band will dust it off and blast it out.
Eric will be joined by Tom Dunkley on drums. Tom, of Dirty Dogs and The Drift fame, is one of the Forest's greatest drummers not to be missed. DB Smith of the DB Smith band on lead guitar brings an injection of rock and blues to the line up. Watch out for his Hawaiian guitar for something a little different. |
The Whiskey River Trio
The Whiskey River Trio are Martin Blake, Aidan Sheehan and Alan Cooper, three members of the 6-piece electric swamp-rocking band Whiskey River. Between them, they play a dazzling variety of instruments including guitar, fiddle, Cajun accordion, harmonica, mandolin, banjo, penny whistle and various percussion instruments. In this acoustic trio, they play a wide variety of
material, much of it from the Southern states of America, incorporating Swamp blues, Cajun, Zydeco, folk and country with a spattering of traditional Irish thrown in for good measure, all delivered with harmony vocals and a real sense of fun and enjoyment. A dynamic combination, a good time guaranteed, not to be missed! More info... |
