Bands 2019
Kyla Brox
Blues and soul become inextricably entwined in award-winning singer-songwriter, Kyla Brox, whose raw talent has seen her described as “the finest female blues singer of her generation”. With many albums under her belt and many miles covered on the road, touring all over the world, Kyla Broxis widely regarded as one of the very best soul-blues singers the British Isles.
Her voice; tender, urgent, gritty, blurring the distinction between pleasure and pain, mixed with the enchantingly fluent guitar work of Paul Farr, inspired bass playing of Danny Blomeleyand in-the-pocket drumming of Mark Warburton, combine to make a unique and powerful, often joyous, but always emotional experience. Red River Blues
The Red River Blues are a dynamic and exciting 5-piece band. Frontman Clyde Jefferson is a multi-talented singer/songwriter who brings rhythm and lead guitar to the mix, including an outrageous sounding slide guitar made from an old pants draw. Chris Egan, a jazz maestro on sax and EWI, brings a unique blend of Yorkshire grit and Bolivian mystery to his scintillating solos, while Giles Smith, former member of the cult blues band The Ski Animals, completes the line up with some rasping Chicago style blues harp.

Misfit Pearl & the Odd Fellows
Corn fed Kentucky raised singer, songwriter & raconteur, Jane Pearl is a rare thing. A genuine wordsmith [when she can remember them]. Drawing from all four marriages and using all four chords Jane brings you heartfelt, humorous, well crafted wry vignettes on modern life. Through the medium of Americana, her talent drips from her kitchen table, drops to the floor and saddles up on an epic quest across Monmouthshire [her present home] into the ears of any freeminer, hobo or chartered accountant passing through the West Gloucestershire badlands.
